Husqvarna recommends adjusting the carburetor on the chain saw when you have filled the fuel tank ten times.
This assures that the engine goes through the proper break-in period. Husqvarna recommends that a certified technician adjust the carburetor, but you can do it yourself and save some money. Adjusting a Husqvarna carburetor correctly ensures good fuel economy and protects the engine. When adjusting the chain saw carburetor, keep people and objects away from the chain bar to prevent damage and injury.
Set the Husqvarna chain saw on a level surface. Ensure that there is nothing around the chain bar while you are adjusting the carburetor. Start the chain saw and allow the engine to warm for five minutes. Locate the three separate adjustment screws near the pull rope on the chain saw body. A letter is stamped next to each screw. Turn the screw with the "L" stamp clockwise with a screwdriver until the screw stops.
Do not force the screw past the natural stop. Turn the screw counterclockwise until the engine idles smoothly without hesitation. Squeeze the throttle trigger to test the engine.Husqvarna Chainsaw Oil Leak Repair in 4K
Continue adjusting the "L" screw until the engine sounds smooth and accelerates smoothly. Place the screwdriver on the screw with a "T' stamp. This is the idle-adjustment screw. Turn the screw clockwise until the chain starts to turn on the chain bar.
Immediately turn the screw counterclockwise until the chain stops turning. The engine should maintain idle speed without the chain moving on the chain bar. Rotate the "H" adjustment screw counterclockwise with the screwdriver until the screw stops. The engine should sound very rough. Turn the screw clockwise until the engine runs smoothly. Squeeze the throttle trigger. The engine should accelerate with little difficulty and not blow smoke from the exhaust. Contact a service dealer if the chain does not stop rotating with adjustment of the idle screw.
This can cause damage to the clutch. Kenneth Crawford is a freelance writer with more than 10 years of experience. His work has appeared in both print and online publications, including "The American Chronicle.

I check it while I am using it to make sure it is not clogged up with chips and debris around where the oil is supposed to come out. Is there a fix for this. I have disassembled the saw down to the oiling mechanism and cannot see anything wrong.
Otherwise the saw starts well and cuts good until the bar and chain start to lose lubrication. I am on my third bar and third chain.Hoblerica za drvo cena
I could use some advice before I drag it behind my truck down the interstate. If you warm the saw up, turn it off, then take the bar and side cover off. Start the saw up, look to see if the oiler is pumping oil if not increase rpm till the clutch starts to spin to see if it will even pump oil but be careful as its an outboard clutch. It may be just barely some oil leaking out.
Oh also did you turn your oiler up or is it turned all the way down? I do have the oiler turned all the way up and have always had it in that position and I will try your other suggestion but I do not know what you mean by an outboard clutch. If you mean be careful not to lose a finger, I get it. Thanks for the advice. If memory serves me correctly the oiler for the has a larger volume and will fit directly in place of the stock oil pump.
Gender: runnin' husqvarna since'73 dealer since' First thing to check is: is the saw itself putting out oil. You find that out by taking the bar off and looking at the outlet. Being sure it is putting out A lot of times the weep hole that gets the oil into the bar is backed up. That just got me last weekend. You run a light gauge wire through the hole to be sure it isn't blocked. Cleaning the groove where the chain runs on the bar is good too. The saw will not put out oil. I have rinsed the tank and refilled it with oil. I run it without the bar and chain on and only a drop every 20 seconds or so comes out.
The oiler is very simple. To remove the clutch I pulled the spark plug and stuffed about 5' of rope into the cylinder and used a small hammer and punch to spin it off.Gta nightclub business guide
There is a plastic gear that is driven by the clutch that goes into the oiler, from there into a rubber tube to the bar. There isn't anything complex or "spring loaded" in the disassembly.Maziar raissi

How to Adjust the Oiler on a Husqvarna 55 Rancher
Finland fi.The Husqvarna 55 Rancher is a lightweight chainsaw featuring low vibration and Smart Start technology that allows for quick starts with less resistance on the pull cord. Chain and bar oil provides lubrication between the moving chain and stationary bar.
Proper lubrication keeps the parts cool and extends their life. Cleaning your chainsaw oil ports keeps the oiler working correctly; clean it before adjusting the oiler.
Remove the two nuts on the right side of the bar holding on the chainsaw clutch cover with an adjustable wrench. Pull the clutch cover, bar and chain straight out and away from the motor.
Slide a small flathead screwdriver into the oil channel at the base of the bar between the bolt holes to clean off any debris or oil buildup.
Clean the bar tip with the screwdriver to unstop it if it is blocked. Replace the bar on the chainsaw and the clutch cover. Replace the two nuts and tighten them clockwise with an adjustable wrench. Start your chainsaw and angle the tip down toward the paper bag. Squeeze the trigger to increase the engine speed for about one minute. Observe the paper bag for oil marks thrown from the chainsaw tip. It should be lightly misting oil onto the bag. Turn the chainsaw off and set it down. Turn the chainsaw on its left side with the right side pointing up.
The oiler adjustment screw is now pointing upward and there is the picture of an oil drop above it. Insert the screwdriver into the screw and turn it forward toward the minus sign to decrease the bar oil flow. Turn the screw backward to the plus sign to increase the oil flow. Good lubrication helps to prolong the chain's life and decreases resistance between the moving chain and the stationary bar.
Although Husqvarna chainsaws have a preset oil flow, most models include an oil-flow adjustment screw that allows you to change the rate of oil flowing to the blade. Adjust the oil flow to eliminate wasted oil and to prevent wear on the chain. Turn off the Husqvarna chainsaw by sliding the ignition switch all the way to the "Stop" position. The ignition switch is on the left side of the chainsaw.Backup solution for proxmox
Find the oil-flow adjustment screw. It is a rotary-type screw on the underside of the chainsaw. Look carefully on the blade-side of the saw where the oil streams to the blade. Some Husqvarna chainsaw models include a picture of an oil drop above the oil-flow adjustment screw. Turn the oi-flow adjustment screw clockwise to increase the oil flow or counterclockwise to decrease the oil flow by using a small, flat-head screwdriver. Some Husqvarna chainsaws include plus and minus signs; the screw should be turned toward the plus sign to increase oil flow and turned toward the minus sign to decrease oil flow.
Turn on the Husqvarna chainsaw's engine, and observe the oil flow to the blade to determine whether or not the screw needs to be adjusted again.
Further adjustment depends on the amount of oil you desire to flow to the blade. All Husqvarna chainsaws have automatic chain lubrication, but not all models allow the oil flow to be adjusted. Tip Always wear safety glasses and leather gloves when working with a chainsaw. Things Needed. About the Author. For proper chain saw operation, it is essential to provide adequate lubrication to the chain in the form of oil. Husqvarna chain saws possess an automatic oiler that continuously pumps small amounts of oil from the reservoir through the attached oil line, and onto the saw's guide bar and chain. When the line is clogged, however, the oil can't reach the chain, putting you and your equipment at risk.
The first clue that the oil line on the Husqvarna chain saw may be clogged is when there's little to no lubrication on the chain. The chain may run hotter than normal without the necessary oil to cool it. Symptoms of a hot chain include smoking during cutting and discoloration of the guide bar. Cutting is more difficult with a dry chain and you may notice that the chain saw must be forced through the wood rather than slicing through it cleanly.
Clogs can occur in the oil line that leads from the oil pump to the guide bar and chain for a couple of reasons. Storing the Husqvarna chain saw without cleaning the oil channel and groove in the guide bar and the chain before storage, particularly long-term, can cause the oil to harden and clog at the point where the oil exits the line.
If the bar tip sprocket is unable to turn easily, the hole that emits the oil may become clogged, thereby clogging the line as well. Preventing oil line clogs from happening in the first place is the smartest move any chain saw operator can make. Ensure that you use the recommended type of oil for your chain saw.
Husqvarna recommends using their vegetable-based oil for the best results.
How To Troubleshoot And Adjust The Oiler On A Chainsaw
In the absence of Husqvarna chain saw oil, use standard chain saw oil instead of other types of lubricant. Clean the guide bar channel and groove regularly to prevent old oil from thickening, hardening and clogging the machine. Once you've realized that the chain isn't receiving a sufficient amount of oil, clean and lubricate the bar tip sprocket to see whether that solves the problem. If necessary, remove the fuel line from the chain saw and soak it in hot water to loosen any clogs.
Blow through one end of the tube to see if the air clears the tube and forces out any clogs. You also can straighten a thin wire hanger and guide it gently through the oil line to clear clogs. Using a pipe cleaner dipped in petroleum solvent is another option. When all else fails, replace the fuel line with a new one.
